Ehrhart Griffin & Associates has participated in the development of the educational infrastructure for many years in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. By teaming with communities to create new improvements for K-12 and college level facilities, EGA has taken great pride in knowing these projects have greatly enhanced the educational opportunities for the public we serve.
These educational projects have included a broad range of engineering design responsibilities and services which were required to ensure the success of the architectural design. The services provided vary from administrative subdivisions platting, topographic and boundary surveying, master campus planning, traffic engineering, construction management and construction staking. Civil design has included master planning, full/partial site scopes for new buildings or building additions, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and hydrology drainage analyses. Land surveying encompassed topographic surveying, baseline control, construction staking, and record surveying at construction completion.
To expand further on our construction management, our construction managers have also been involved throughout the site construction process once the design was completed. Specifically, our construction managers led preconstruction and progress meetings, performed daily observations, prepared payments applications, developed punch list requirements, and coordinated project closeout items. Our construction managers ensure the project is built according to plans/specifications, on schedule, and within the budget.
