A main feature of the new Convention Center-Gallup Campus, the re-located Abbott Drive, required a new bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The project ran from 2002 to 2003 and was completed on a very constrained schedule to allow traffic to be opened by November of 2003. Ehrhart Griffin & Associates worked in concert with officials from the City of Omaha to assist in every aspect of coordination and layout for the bridge construction to make the target date a reality.
Primary control was verified and perpetuated from data received by a Consultant working on an earlier phase of the project. Additionally, efforts were made to ensure that the in-progress roadway (by others) made a smooth transition to the bridge.
